Vocab


·      Blandly- lacking strong features or characteristics- the girl blandly wrote her paper, wanting only a grade high enough to pass AP English.
·      Gaunt- Haggard, adj.- a gaunt, haggard boy appeared on my doorstep begging for food just yesterday.
·      Indolently- Lazily, adj.- Today I saw a homeless man lounging indolently on a ragged park bench.
·      Scruples- a feeling of doubt or hesitation, noun.- I have scruples about how to build my next 8-story mansion since I want it to be a unique and well-thought out design.
·      Gossamer- a fine, filmy substance consisting of cobwebs spun by small spiders, noun.- The princess threw aside her gauzy, gossamer curtains to see a dragon appearing on the hillside.
